Leonard Smith Thanks for your comment! I got it in my email. Don't know why Google failed to publish it here. It's hard to keep up with these shenanigans! Advertisers, of course, make every attempt to conceal them. This leads to tactics like sweet but irrelevant images on 19th century advertising trade cards, "product placement" in movies, slowmail solicitations that appear to be checks and ads in print media disguised to look as much as possible like news columns. It is not surprising that folks dishonest enough to use these tactics to sell their goods are also using them to sell their politics both online and off. Fortunately, not everybody is buying!
