Should oil companies compensate communities for the harmful effects of their operations? They seem to be following the political lead of the armaments industry: Blame yourselves. We promote death and disability and irresponsible use, but we are not liable for the results of our successful sales campaigns (such as our 2nd amendment hogwash).
