Just in case we were all getting quite comfortable with the status quo...

If you live at present-day sea level, it is time to head for the hills...hills at least 210 feet above current sea level, that is.

Initial sea rise will be about 23 feet with more to come as Antarctica will also contribute many many more feet (187 feet if all of the Antarctic melts). Scientists think this will occur gradually.

Nonetheless, I suspect it will be a "surprise" to many who failed to anticipate the consequences, like many of today's leaders, who are building bridges and tunnels and walls instead of dikes and flood barriers.
