Is Covid-19 vaccine Safe?

Easy to see how one might get the impression that “vaccine development has been rushed.”

However, as explained in one of my recent answers, the mRNA technology behind the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines has not been rushed.[1] It’s been researched for decades.

What has been rushed is the approval process. The FDA has issued Emergency Use Authorization[2] for these vaccines. Stage 3 testing indicates that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh any side-effects or reactions to the vaccines themselves. But certain groups, such as pregnant women, were not tested.[3]

Check with your doctor before being vaccinated, always good advice, is especially critical if you’ve had severe reactions to vaccinations in the past. Chances are, if you are vaccinated in a facility that can handle reactions, the vaccine won’t kill you.[4]
